Grilled Barbecue Chicken

Key Product – Picante Barbecue Seasoning

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 3–4):

  • 500 g chicken (thighs, drumsticks, wings, or boneless breast)
  • 2 tbsp oil (olive oil or any cooking oil)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • 1½–2 tbsp Picante Barbecue Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce (optional, for glazing)
  • Salt (only if seasoning is low-salt)

🥣 Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  1. Pat chicken dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix oil, lemon juice, and barbecue seasoning.
  3. Coat chicken evenly.
  4. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes minimum (2–4 hours for best results).

🔥 Tip: Make small cuts in drumsticks for deeper flavor.

🔥 Step 2: Preheat the Grill

  • Heat grill or grill pan to medium heat.
  • Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

🍖 Step 3: Grill the Chicken

  1. Place chicken on the grill.
  2. Cook for 5–7 minutes per side (boneless cooks faster).
  3. Turn occasionally for even charring.
  4. In the last 3–4 minutes, brush with barbecue sauce (optional) for caramelized glaze.

Cook until internal temperature reaches 75°C or juices run clear.

🌿 Step 4: Rest & Serve

  • Rest chicken for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle a light dusting of barbecue seasoning on top for extra aroma.
  • Garnish with Picante Parsley.
  • Serve with grilled veggies, corn, coleslaw, or garlic bread.
